This is a quintessential 2 storey courtyard home design where all major rooms are arranged around a central internal courtyard garden.
The courtyard provides internal vistas and surprise visual elements within the house. It also brings in better cross ventilation and daylighting to all the rooms arranged around this courtyard. The courtyard is open to the sky and allow rains to come in and hot air to escape through the convection theory thus making this house cooler all day long in the tropical climate.
The staircase is placed next to the open courtyard to provide orientation and internal bearing to the house. It reinforces the central circulation zone and reduces the travel distance within the house.
All major rooms are arranged around the courtyard.
Separate dry and wet kitchen on the ground floor
A garage that parks 2 cars are tucked away from visibility from the main street to provide better privacy and security. This design strategy essentially relocates the default position of the garage location from the front garden to the back of the house and thus frees up the much-desired outdoor garden space to the front yard.
A combined lounge and dining room are placed at the front end of the house to provide better and direct physical and visual connection to the front garden. Large patio is attached to the formal living and dining hall for easy access to the garden.
Every bedroom is sizeable and comes with attached bathroom.
The Guest Room is located at the rear end of the house for privacy. It comes with its own garden and equips with own attached bathroom. 
This house design elevates all the private bedrooms to the upper floor while the major entertainment areas of the house are fixated on the ground level.
It is intentional to keep the rear end of the house single storey where the rear landscaped garden is. Besides, it also reduces the house massing to be less imposing so that it could blend in easily with the neighbouring context.
